Salmon and Noodles with Soya and Honey Sauce

What you need

  • 2 salmon fillets

  • 1 small packet dried egg noodles

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil

    For the sauce

  • 4 tablespoons soya sauce

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder

  • Salt & pepper

    Equipment

  • Saucepan

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 1800°C, fan oven 160°C, gas mark 4.

  2. Mix all sauce ingredients together in a mug and season with salt and pepper.

  3. Place the salmon fillets on a baking tray and pour the sauce over them.

  4. Bake the salmon for 15/20 minutes in the oven.

  5. Put the noodles in a saucepan of boiling water, add 1 teaspoon vegetable oil and cook for 5 minutes.

  6. Drain off the water and place the noodles on 2 plates or in bowls.

  7. Place the cooked salmon and sauce on top of the noodles.

Salmon has a nice sweet flavour that is not too “fishy” and it tastes delicious with the noodles and honey sauce!
