Chicken Spice Bags

What you need

  • 2 chicken breasts

  • 1 onion

  • 1 pepper

  • 2 medium size Rooster potatoes

  • 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil

  • ½ teaspoon each of

    • ✔ Chinese 5 Spice

    • ✔ chilli powder

    • ✔ smoked paprika

  • Salt & pepper

Equipment

  • Large bowl

  • Mug

  • Knife

  • 2 baking trays

  • Tablespoon

  • Teaspoon

  • Chopping board

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, fan oven 180°C, gas mark 6.

  2. Cut the potatoes into wedges and put in a bowl.

  3. Mix the spices with the oil in a mug.

  4. Pour half the oil mixture over the wedges and spread them on a baking tray. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Bake the potatoes in the oven for 30 minutes.

  6. Cut the onion and pepper and put in a bowl.

  7. Cut the chicken and place in the bowl with the vegetables.

  8. Pour the remainder of the oil mix over the vegetables and chicken and spread out on another baking tray.

  9. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until chicken is well cooked.

  10. Mix the vegetables, chicken and wedges together in a tinfoil container. Now enjoy your own “Spice Box” takeaway!

ToP TiP

For ½ teaspoon of spice use the end of the spoon to scoop out the spice.
